TWO APPLICATIONS FAIL.

Two applications for orders for possession of tenements were refused by Mr. E. C. Cutten, S.M., in the Magistrate's Court yesterday. In one case the plaintiff, a married woman with no children, sought possession of a house occupied by a- married man with five children. Plaintiff stated that she required-the house for her own use. She admitted, in cross-examination, that during the past three years she had purchased three houses, and had sold them at a profit In the other case, a police constable, who was married, but had no children, sought possession of a h§use he had recently purchased. The defendant was a. married man with two children. His wife had been ill for the past four months.
