SEAMEN AND SECRETARY.
AN INJUNCTION SOUGHT.
A. and N.Z. SYDNEY, Dec. 7. The seamen have called a stop-work meeting for to-day to discuss what are stated as domestic matters. It is known, however, that important business is coming under that heading, and it is impossible to say what will be the outcome of the meeting. The High Court heard argument in the application by the Seamen's Union for an injunction against T. Walsh, secretary of the Seamen's Union, in the course of which counsel for the union stated that the executive council of the union wished to suspend Walsh because of alleged misappropriation of funds and gross neglect of duty. The Judge announced that the Pull Court would be set up to hear the suit.

Ridgeway, solicitor for the Federated Seamen's Union of Australia, against" Thomas Walsh, secretary of that organisation, defendant, .claiming through the High Court (1) an' injunction to restrain the defendant (a) from continuing to perform the functions and exercise the .office of secretary of the plaintiff organisation, (b) from retaining the custody of the books, papers, and documents thereof ; (2) delivery to the plaintiff organisation of the ; books, papers, and documents and (5) an injunction restraining the defendant from interfering in the administration and management of the plaintiff organisation.
