Hunter, Agent-General for Queensland, to France, numerous applications have been : received from Parisian furniture firms for j supplies of Queensland cabinet woods. j Mr. Hunter complains that excessive I freights from Australia are hampering the ' timber business. The French Government j is co-operating with Mr. Hunter iii negotiations with lapidary firms tor the treat- ( ment of sapphires and other Queensland I gems.
