INCREASING THE STUDENTS. _ » [BT TELEGRAPH:—PRESS ASSOCIATION.] WELLINGTON. Wednesday. The Minister for Education is in communication "with training colleges regarding the proposed 50 per cent. increase in the number of new students nest year. This increase is part of the effort that the Education Department is making to overcome the shortage of qualified teachers. The scheme will involve the provision of temporary quarters at Auckland and some other centres where the present accommodation is inadequate.
