NEW BRITISH CABLE.
ADVANTAGE TO AUSTRALIA. Reuter. LONDON, Oct. 27. In the House of Commons, Mr. A. H. Illing worth, Postmaster-General, replying to a question regarding the Government purchase of the direct cable to the United States, stated that telegrams at deferred rates could be sent by that line to Australia.
