APPEAL TO THE LEAGUE. TNTERVENTION REQUESTED. POLES AS APPELLANTS. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. (Received 1.10 a.m.) Beuter. LONDON. Sept., 7. The Polish Government has appealed to the League of Nations requesting its mediation respecting the Polish-Lithuanian dispute. Poland points out that an unprovoked attack has been made on Polish troops, and sunless an improvement takes place in the situation Poland will be compelled to declare war on Lithuania.
