POLICE COURT NEWS.
ASSAULT ON CHINESE.
An assault en a Chinese boy in Queen Street on Friday afternoon was admitted by Harry Langford (Mr. Sullivan) when charged with the offence in the Police Court on Saturday morning , before Mr. F. K. Hunt, S.M. It was stated that accused had struck the Chinese in the face with his fist, the action being quite unprovoked. Accused was fined £2 and costs. BOYS STEAL FROM A LAUNCH. Two ten-year-old boys appeared in the Juvenile Offenders Court before Mr. F. K. Hunt, S.M., on Saturday morning, charged with the theft of fish hooks and a spanner and an oil can and oil stove respectively from a launch in Cox's Creek last month. It \»as stated that the boys had boarded the launch, climbed through an open porthole and taken the articles, which , had since been recovered. They were admonished and discharged.
