Notice is hereby given that at a Special Meeting of the Otahuhu Borough Council, held on Thursday, the 22nd day of July, 1920, the resolution to make the By-laws mentioned in the Schedule hereto was passed, and that the said resolution will be submitted for confirmation at a Special Meeting of the said Council, to be held on the 26th day of August, 1920, at 7.30 p.m., at the Council Chambers, Great South Road, Otahuhu. A full copy of the proposed By-laws is deposited at the Offices of the said Council, Great South Road, Otahuhu, and is open to the inspection of the public during office hours until the said 26th day of August. 1920. THE SCHEDULE ABOVE REFERRED TO. The object and purport of the said By-laws are as follows— Section 434 provides that the By-laws shall be read with and as amending and extending the existing By-laws of the Borough. . Section 435 amends Section 366, sub-sec-tion (d) of the .existing By-laws' relating to the Otahuhu Public Cemetery, and provides for an increase of the extra breaking ground fee for .interment of persons resident outside the Borough at date of death. Section 436 provides for an extra fee in all cases where interments in the said Cemetery take place on Sundays, Public Holidays, or after' 12 noon on Saturdays. Section 43? repeals Sections 428 and 429 of the. existing By-laws relating to waterworks. Section 438 provides for the charges for ordinary supply of water .within the Borough. Section 439 fixes increased charges for extraordinary supply of water within the Borough. Section 440 amends Section 431 of the existing By-laws relating to suppiea of water .outside the Borough, and fixes increases charges for such supplies. - Dated at Otahuhu this 23rd day of July, 1920. Notice is hereby given that at a Special Meeting of the Auckland City Council, held on THURSDAY, the 19th day of August, 1920, the following Resolution was passed and will be submitted for confirmation at the Ordinary Meeting of the Council, to be held on THURSDAY, the 16th day of September, 1920, at 8 o'clock p.m., at the Council Chambers, Queen Street, viz.:— '• The Auckland City Council doth hereby, by specia. resolution, intended to operate as a special order, make the following byJaw, to be known hereafter as By-law No. 16, viz:(Here follows the by-law.) The purport of the By-law is contained in the following Clauses, viz.: — 1. " This By-law shall bo read with and as extending and amending By-law No. 1 of the Auckland City Council, made on the 19th day of April, 1917, and words herein used shall have the same meaning, and be interpreted in the same way as the same ■ words when used in the said By-law No. 1." 2. "No person driving or riding any vehicle or bicycle in any street, shall allow the same to stop or remain stationary, whether in pursuance of instructions given by any police constable or officer in charge of traffic, under section 345 of By-law No. 1, or otherwise, upon any street crossin? or line of continuation of any pavement marked by white lines across an intersecting street." 'The Auckland Domain Vesting Act, 1893." "The Grey Lynn Domain Vesting Act, 1909." "The Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908," and in pursuance of all and every other powers in that behalf contained in any other Act enabling the said Council in that behalf. The Auckland City Council doth hereby by Special Order, ordain as follows: — "1. This By-law shall be read with and form part of By-laws Nos. 2 and 3 of the Auckland City Council made on the 19tn day of April. 1917, and words heroin used shall have the same meaning and be interpreted in the same way as the some words when used in tho said By-laws No. 2 and 3. '2. No person shall drive or ride, or cause to be driven 01 ridden, any automobile or motor-cycie in or upon any_portion of the Domain or the Carriage Way, or through tho same, for the purpose of testing such vehicle or of teaching any person to ride or drive such vehicle. The testing of a vehicle shall mean' the driving or riding of such vehicle for the purpose of ascertaining its fitness for service or of demonstrating its condition." HENRY W. Loan of ten thousand pounds sterling raised by the Parneli Borough Council in the. year 1899. and which matures on the thirtieth day of September, 1920 but in respect of which no sinking fund was provided, the security for such Loan to be the revenues of the City of Auckland, subject to existing loans already secured thereon."
