. Th» anmia-1 meeting of the Northern Racing Pigeon Chib was held last week, when the following officers were elected: — President, - Mr. V. Ryder; secretary and treasurer. Mr. A. A. Watson; committee, Messrs. IW. Watson. B. Hunter, A J. Morton, C. Stokes. W. Sargeant and J. Jf Taylor. The following race schedule was approved: Te Euiti (2), 100 miles, first race September 4: Te Kuiti. second race; Taumarunui, 145 miles; Ohakime, 186 miles; Palmer&ton, 245 miles (two races); Paekakareiki, 286 miles; Wellington, 308 miles; Ohakune, 186 miles; Blenheim. 330 miles; Chriatcburch, 475 miles second Chxistcburcli, 475 miles: Ohakune, 186 rnilea; special Ohakune consolation race; Dun-'ylm, 700 miles; Palmerston yearling, 245 mile 3; Inyjrcargill, 800 miles, and championship; Wellington, 308 miles. The races axe well endowed with cash and special prizes, and eTerythine points to a record season.
