Tho Carlton: Clnb at its annual meeting decided to submit tho following remit to th.v Auckland Centre of tho New Zealand Bowling Association: — That all sports clubs- owning private grounds should receive preferential treatment in respect to the rates which they pay to tho City Council, on the ground that such clubs cater for the health and welfare of the nation; and that tho Auckland Centre be asked to ventilate this proposal at tlie annual meeting of delegates."
