INFLUENZA NOTIFICATIONS.
35 CASES DURING WEEK-END.
Thirty-three mild and two severe cases ■were reported to the Auckland district health officer during the week-end, as compared with thirteen mild and two severe cases for the preceding twenty-four hours. One severe caeo occurred in the city and the other in the suburbs, the mild cases being distributed as follows:—City,'s; suburbs, 5 : country districts. 10; Morrinsville, l; .Hamilton, 1; Waihi, 10; Tauranga, 1. During the period from noon on Thursday to noon yesterday 105 cases, of which 16 were severe, were reported. The cases wero distributed as follows, all being mild except where otherwise stated: —City, 15 and 1 severe; suburbs, 19 mild and 3 severe; country districts, 14 and 1 severe; Tauranga, 1: Otorohatiga, 3; Te Kuiti, 5 severe; Thames, 12 and 1 severe; Waihi, 16 and 5 severe; Ohinemuri County, 3; Taumarunui, 1; Hamilton, 2; Te Kauwhata. 2; Morrinsville, 1. POSITION IN WELLINGTON. [BT (TELEGRAPH.—PRESS ASSOCIATION.] WELLINGTON, Monday. For the week ended at noon to-day 330 cases of influenza were reported in the Wellington public health district, an increase' of 61 compared with the figures for the previous week. The district health officer, Dr. Paris, stated that the cases reported- were 'nearly all mild, and considering the season of the year there was uothinc in # the returns calling for comment. The' cases were classified as follows:—Pneumonia, 12; severe, 5; mild, 313. .
