The Shaw,' Savill. and Albion Company announce that the next projected departures front Wellington for Southampton and London via Panama are: The lonio on Juno 24, the Arawa in July,, the Athenic in Sep. tember, the Corinthic tn October, and the Tainui also in October. The departure of the Navua for Fiji and tho Western Pacific Islands hag been further postponed until noqn to-day. The A. and A. Line have fixed the following vessels to load at New Yprk for New Zealand or Australian ports or for both: City of Madras, Armagh, Ariosto. and Afholl. Tho Ariosto left Colombo on March 16 for New York. Tho Atholl left Australia on March 6 for New York with cargo for that port. The Mokoia is expected to arrive from Dunedin via ports on Monday. The Waikawa is announced to leave Wol. lington on Monday for Auckland. She wjll bo due here on Wednesday, and after discharging and taking in, cargo she . will sail for San Francisco.

THE 'FRISCO. SERVICE. It is reported that when the Marama and Maum.anui ate encaged in the San Francisco service Sydney will bo the terminal port in place of Wellington. This arrangement existed before the war. Tho Marama is expected to enter ,the service, sailing from Wellington about June 15. but the Maunganui will not be ready to follow till some months later.' ■*

THE HINEMOA ARRIVES. The Government steamer Hinemoa arrived from Wellington yesterday morning and berthed at the Central Wharf. She left Wellington on May 19, and has since been engaged in landing stores, eto., at tho various lighthouses' on the East Coast. Moderate to fine weather was experienced until Wednesday last, when fresh south and southwest winds and heavy seas were, mot with. The Hinemoa commenced taking in stores yesterday for the Gulf and Northern lighthouses, She is expected to sail for the north on Monday, BONA FROM NEWCASTLE. Tho steamer Bona arrived from Newcastle last evening with a cargo of, coal and anchored in the stream. She will berth at the Hobson Wharf this morning.

» RIVERINA LEAVES SYDNEY. The Riverina left Sydney for Auckland at 3 p.m. on Thursday. She will be due here on Monday morning. It was hoped to despatch her for East Coast and Southern ports on Tuesday, but owing to the congested state of the port, it is doubtful whether this programme can be adhered to, and no definite time of sailing can be fixed until Monday next.

The Paparoa, which arrived from Liverpoo! early yesterday morning, was granted pratique, but owing to tho lack of berthing accommodation 'she took up an anchorage in the stream. Her passengers were landed in the afternoon by tender, Arrangements had been made to bring them ashore at 10 a.m. but tho heavy sea which was running in the harbour made it impossible for the authorities to do so until the afternoon, when Uie weather moderated. The Paparoa left Liverpool on March 23, a.d proceeded to Newport News, whore she arrived on April 11. Heavy gales were experienced on the trip across the western ocean. The vessel shipped a great deal of water, and while no damage was actually done to the steamer one of tho firemen nearly lost his life. He was proceeding along tho for© deck and a lug sea which came aboard washed him up against the ship's railing. The impact was so great that his head was severely crushed and on arrival at Newport News ho was transferred. to . the .hospital. Tho Poparoa will remain in the stream until there is a vacancy at one of the wharves for her. Captain H, E. Barns is in command of the vessel.
