WAR BIIL FBOM CANADA.

DEMAND FOR £370,000,000.

Clemenceau, ex-Premier of France, in the course of an interview to-day, disclosed that the Peace Conference closely debated the German indemnity question for three weeks. The British and American delegate* contended throughout for the payment of a lump sum, of which France should" receive £3,000,000,000. The French delegates demanded more, and resisted a hasty decision, hence the appointment of the Reparations Commission.
