PROGRESS OF NEGOTIATIONS.
A TEMPORARY ADJOURNMENT. [BY TELEGBAPH. —OWN COEEESPONDENT.]
WELLINGTON, Wednesday.
The Conciliation Committer, comprising the representatives of the Amalgamated Society of Railway Servants and of the Government, has been sitting in Wellington for some days, and has been dealing •with the claims of the society for higher wages and improved working conditions. The proceedings have been conducted in! private. It was decided today that the committee should adjourn until Tuesday next, in order to enable the parties to the dispute to consider some of the matters that have been under discussion.
