MOTORING FATALITY.
TWO MEN KILLED. PINNED BENEATH A CAR. Tbt telegraph.—press ASSOCIATION - .] ASHBURTON, Friday. A fatal motoring accident occurred on the Wakanui Road, near Ashburton, yesterday. A motor-car containing Mr. Hay Smith, stockdealer (the owner and driver of the car), Mr. Frank Campbell (local manager of the Loan and Mercantile Agency), and Mr. George Bramley (a returned soldier, who lost one leg in thu war), cap;.i?d. The latter escaped uninjured, but Mr. Campbell was killed, and Mr. Smith died on admission to hospital.
The car apparently got into a rut, and became unmanageable, and capsized, pinning Mr. Campbell and Mr. Smith underneath.
