The Chamber of Commerce to-night waited on Ministers with a suggestion that some form of rationing be instituted. The president, Mr. J. M. 'McLean, pointed out that the normal population of Rotorua at this time of the year is 5000. It ie now swelled to between 10,000 and 12,000, including the Maoris, and the outlook is really serious. He fears that when the shops are opened tomorrow there will bo a rush, and available stocks will be snapped up to the disadvantage of many people. Ministers promised to assist in'anv way possible.,
