SHELL OIL COMPANY.
BRITISH NEGOTIATIONS, Australian and N.Z. Cable Association (Reed. 7.30 p.m.) LONDON. Apr,! 26. It is understood that negotiations are in progress to ensure British control of the Shell Transport Petroleum Company. The Government is actively interested in the negotiations, but there is no confirmat on of the report that the Government itself intends to acquire control. The secretary of the Shell Company states that no negotiations are in progress for Government control, or for the transfer of shares of the Shell Company to the Government.
