PRINCE TO RETURN.
ARRIVAL TO-DAY.
FURTHER PLANS DEFERRED.
I AWAITING STRIKE ISSUE. ROYAL GUEST'S DESIRE. fBY TELEGRAPH.— PRESS association.] ROTORUA. Wednesday. Arrangements are being made to carry the Royal party back to Auckland tomorrow. Ministers are reticent as to the Prince's further movements, evidently hoping it will be possible that Mr. Massey, on reaching Wellington, will be able to arrive at a settlement with the railwaymen that would permit the North Island programme to be carried out as originally planned. It is expected there will be no difficulty on the run to Auckland, which is the home town of the trainmen here, who naturally are anxious to get back. The Prince, is exceedingly anxious that his programme should not be curtailed. Ministers had a long conference this evening, and discussed the situation with the Governor-General at a meeting at which the General Manager of Railways, Mr. R. W. McVilly, was present.
