KING'S COLLEGE STEEPLECHASE. . The annua! ernes-country race in connection with King's College, which was to havo been held to-day, has been postponed until n«oct term owing to the compulsory closing of schools on account of the prevalence of influenza. OLYMPIC SPORTS CARNIVAL. The football and athletic sports carnival to be held on the Domain cricket ground on Saturday in aid of the Olympic fund. |3 arousing considerable interest, and the only thing necessary to make the gather ing a success is fine weather. An excellent programme has been arranged, including three football matches, running races, anr 1 an athletic display by the Y.M.C.A. gymnastic team, which will last an hour. The athletic events and the athletic display will commence at 2 p.m. and the football at 1 p.m. The Rugby and League games will be played in front of the stand.
