TAKAPUNA BOROUGH.
The Takapuna Borough Council him. last evening, the deputy-Mayor. Mr. R. S. H. Bias, presiding -There were also present Messrs. J. W. Williamson. A. Fulljaroes. G. Creamer. S. E. Cunningham, T. B. Arthur. A aeputation from the Takapuna School L-ommittee waited upon the council to •n-'t* its assistance in obtaining * portion of ground situated between Barry's Point and rjapier Point for recreation purposes. A. J 0 ****! was referred to the Parks and the Streets and "Works Committees. , The Minister for Public Works acknowledged the council's application for a grant for a new bridge o'-er the Wairau Stream, and said he would inspect the present bridge as soon as. possible. Mr. Williamson replied to the council"* request for a name to be given th» land donated by him. and suggested Williamson Square. This was agreed to.
