AMUNDSEN TO RETURN.
POLAR TRIP ABANDONED.
A. and N.Z. WASHINGTON, April 26. Wireles telegrams received by the Navy Department from Cordova, Alaska, state that news has been received that Captain Amundsen has abandoned his North jt*olar trip. He intended to leave Anadir, Siberia for Alaska, at an early date, returning to Norway through the United States.
END OF WOOL CONTROL.
(Received 12.30 a.m.) Press Association. LONDON, April 26. It was announced in the House of Commons that the Government does not propose to reimpose coptrol over wool.
