HOCKEY.
The executive of the Auckland Hockey Association met last evening Mr L K Norton presiding. . Mr - L - C. Kent' was elected chairman. A special committee, connting of Messrs L. H. Norton, H. B Speight and E. E. Madden, was appointed to report upon the rules of the Whangarei Association. The entries received for all competitions totalled 37. The senior competition was discussed and it was decided to confine the grade to the Mount Eden j . A ret »- Somerville, St. Luke'a ana JEdendale teams. THE REFEREES' ASSOCIATION. . The Auckland Hockey Referees' Association will meet at the sports' club rooms this evening to _ consider the New Zealand Hockey Association's proposed alteration to rules affecting referees and matters relating to the North Island conference to be held at Wellington on Tuesday.
