| THE BXJGBY GAME, > MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE. .The Management Committee of the Aucks> land Rugby Union met lost ©Toning, Mr, N. S' E. Jones presiding. ■ The Canterbury Rugby Union wrote Bugseating that inter-provincial matches should be interspersed throughout the season, instead of holding them at the end. The union. . considered that some change should be made to arouse public interest in the game. A suggestion had been made that the representative matches should be, played about June, thus avoiding the, monotony of continuous club earnest It was decided to discuss the matter with the Canterbury representatives a* the annual meeting of the New Zealand Rugby Union, to be held in Wellington on May 28. The Auckland Public Schools' Rugby Union asked tor a donation of one football for each team that competed in its competitions. ,It -was decided to give a ball to each primary school, the limit to be 80. A deputation waited on the committee for assistance in. regard to sending representatives to tho Olympic games at Antwerp. It was suggested that a senior match should be played on the Domain on May 1, when an athletics carnival would be held. This was agreed to. Twelve applications were received for the position of secretary. Mr. L. G. Hill was appointed. * The Grafton. Newton and College Rifles' Clubs were granted permission to play on Eden Park, and University on the snowground to-morrow. It was decided that entries for all competitions close on Tuesday. Mr. T. H. Patterson was appointed honorary advisory representative for the union for the purpose of fostering the game in country districts. UNDER LEAGUE RULES. The City Rovers Club wi'J hold a practice at Victoria Park to-morrow afternoon. The team to represent the Maritime Club astuiist OtahuhuT at Otahuhu to-morrow, will be selected from the following:Aradt, % Bovaird, Dance, Lang, Herring, Hogg, O'Brien, Tieraey. Grey, McGregor •cl:, Yardlej* Sutton, Mulct THE ASSOCIATION GAME. The Brotherhood Ciub will hold a practice on its ground, next to the Richmond Fuohc School, to-morrow. The North Shore Club will hold a practice at North Shore to-morrow afternoon. An A and B team will be selected from the following:-—Ford, Cooke. Goldwater, Dacre .21, Perritt, Vroolley, Jackson, Coleman, Mocre, Pulman, Luna, Nunnerley, Haycock, ■Williams, Samson, Nicholson. Parker, Moynihan. Baxter.
