■ o A STEP TOWARDS PAYMENT. SEIZURE OF FOREIGN SHARES (Received 9.5 p.m.) R«utor. LONDON. April 12. Definite steps towards the fulfilment of the financial clauses of the Versailles Treaty are heralded by semi-official advices from Berlin, foreshadowing the seizure of all German-held shares in companies in Allied countries. Compensation will be granted on the basis of the quotation for such shares on January 10.
