-mTHE CHAMBER OF COMMERCE. [B* TELEGRAPH.—OWN CORRESPONDENT.] HAMILTON. Tuesday. A meeting of the Hamilton Chamber of Commerce -was held last night. Mr. G. Parr presided over a large attendance. Twenty-five new members, including the first lady member, were elected. It was decided to again draw the attention of the Railway Department to the serious blockage of traffic caused by trains 1 stopping on the Victoria Street crossings. 1 Support of the Associated Chambers of Commerce action in urging the revision | of bills of lading, was decided upon. In view of the volume of work now passing through the Supreme Court, it was decided to ask that another circuit Judge be appointed. Details regarding the proposal that a branch of the Lands, Deeds, and Stamp OSioe should be established in Hamilton were given by Mr. J. Walsh. He said such an offer would save a large amount in agency fees and be a great convenience to the Waikato. He estimated the cost of establishing a branch office at £7300. Members atrreed that such a proposal was hichly desirable, and Mr. Walsh was asked to prepare a concrete scheme for subm'ssion to the Government. | =======
