FALL DOWN A LIFT.
♦ FATALITY IN TEA FACTORY. AN ELDERLY MAN KILLED. DROP FROM TOP STOREY. A fatal accident the victim being Mr. John Hounsell, a married man, aged 58, residing at 86, Beresford Street, occurred yesterday at Messrs. A. J. Entrican and Company's tea factory in St. James Street. Deceased, who was working on the top floor of the building, attempted to stop the goods lift, which was descending, by catching the ropes, but in doing so he fell down the lift-well, receiving serious injuries to his head. Be was admitted to the Public Hospital at 1 p.m. in a critical condition and died six hours later.
