(By Wireless Telegram).

S.S. MOKOIA (&t. sea), Thursday.

Prior to the New Zealand Parliamentary Party landing at Suva Sir James Alien requested the members not to discuss the recent "strikes with the Hindoos. He pointed out that the party had been invited as guests, and ought to refrain from any action which might embarrass their hosts. Mr. Holland declined to give any undertaking, and said he intended to make his inquiries. The. Fiji Times strongly commented on the altior of the Labour Party while in Suva, saying : '* The action of Mr. Holland and some others in communicating and conferring with the Indian leaders regarding the recent trouble will, we fear, give encouragement to the disloyal element. We think some of the methods employed by Mr. Holland show very bad taste." Mr. Holland, on being approached by the United Press Association representative, said he preferred to reserve his reply till his arrival in New Zealand.
