AUTUMN CROP OF STRAWBERRIES.
An autumn crop of strawberries has made it« appearance during the last fortnight in the Auckland district. A few ! crates of these unusual products are comin<r to hand dairy in the city, and ;u-e realising l£ 6d to Is 9d a chip. This late crop on hist year's >*'ds is expected to have a deletoiious effect on- the next hprinn crops. i A 'aig<- shipment of Fiji bananas ; arrived at Auckland last evening by the | Navua. and will iu- placed on Die market this morning. Owing 10 the lack of facilities for the speedy transport of fruit, Southern markets will pay dearly for their portion of the shipment, and will receive only the inferior fruit, as the best qualities are sold quickly in Auckland.
