It aims at securing the greatest measure of welfare for the people individually and collectively. THE LEAGUE'S POLICY. _ It is opposed to the extreme of Revolutionism and Conservatism, and supports a policy of constant revision of existing conditions to eliminate what is wrong and preserve what is right for the genera] welfare. THE LEAGUE'S ' WORK. To avert the dangers *of our time the League will:— (a) Carry.on a vigorous, impartial publicity campaign as a means of solving the problems of reconstruction by the spread of knowledge. (b) Contend against the methods of "direct action." "go-slow strikes." and limitation of output as being injurious to all citizens. (c) Oppose the hoarding of supplies, the exaction of excessive profits and exploitation.of the living resources of the people. (d; Assist .in national reconstruction by supporting, sound stable government and ' improved industrial relations, without regard to party or sectional interests. THE LEAGUE'S APPEAL.
