Every employee at the Taihape Freezing Works struck "work this morning. Complaints have been accumulating, but the main issue wae wages. The 'chairman of the company had a long interview with the men last night, and conceded. the increase of 37s 6d asked for. He left. with the full understanding that a satisfactory basis had been reached. This morning not even a fireman was found on duty. The; men would not even move carcases into the freezer. * ■
