SEVERAL ISSUES FOR JURY.

HAMILTON, Fridny Further hearing of the action in which btaff-Sergeant-Major Charles Dorizac and 21 non-commissioned officers at the Kin* George Hospital, Rotorua, sought to recover damages from Robin Adair Gardner Printer, Rotorua, William Alfred Stvak solicitor, Auckland, and Ellen Amine Gardner, widow, Rotorua, proprietors of the Rotorua Chronicle, for an alleged libel in respect of a letter published in the correspondence columns of the paper was continued before Mr. Justice Cooper and a jury of 12, in the Supreme Court to-day. Mr. Hunt appeared for the plaintiffs, and Mr. Finlay, instructed by Mr Carter, for the defendants Charles Dorizac, staff -sergeant-major, said he enlisted in October, 1914 He had no7 e ho m the South African War > but had not been overseas in the European War. Un enlisting he was kept on the staff, and whe n there was an opportunity of going overseas he was medically rejected. * He had been stationed at Rotorua since 1917 prior to which he had hospital experience in the camps. Cross-examined : There were 25 noncommissioned officers in the hospital in September, and all but two were parties to the present action.
