♦ . LORDS (MEND BILL. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. (Reed. 10.30 P.m.) LONDON. Dec. IS. The House of Lords, with the assent of the Lord Chancellor, Lord Birkenhead, deleted the clause providing for compulsory acquisition powers from the Government's Electricity Bill, which aims at a national reorganisation of the supply and distribution of electricity.
