DRESSMAKERS' DISPUTE.
— ■»- . AN AGREEMENT REACHED. [by telegraph.—press association.] CHKISTCHURCH, Friday. The Christchurch dress and mantle makers' dispute was before a conciliation council to-day, a complete agreement being arrived at. The boors of -work are to be 44 per week, with overtime at the rate of time and a-half. Wages were fixed as follows:—First six months, -10s 6d; second, 12s 6d; third 15s; fourth, 17d 6d; fifth, 20s; sixth, 22s 6d; seventh, 255; eighth, 30s (all plus 2e per week as bonus); and thereafter 40s per week.
