A little boy and little maid, They met at tea; And little to each other said— For there were three. A little cat between the two Sat by and stared; And when the boy took half the milk! Oh ! how she glared! The little maid gave Pussy cream, In a corner; Then back she came and did not seem Much to mourn her! The little boy looked in her eyes, He looked with glee: " What can a fellow say," he said, "When there are three!" K.P. ♦
