3 » i J FIFTY-ONE NEW CASES. i i "~" ' ONLY TWO OF SEVERE TYPE. Fifty-one cases of influenza were noti- ' fied in the Auckland health district dur- _ ing the 24 hours ended at noon yesterday. Only two were severe cases, one being at Matakana and the other at Piako. The largest number of mild cases -was 22, at } Matamata. In Auckland city there were 1 seven mild cases; in Waipa County, six; 1 at Te Kuiti, three; at Morrinsville, Ohinel muri, and Whakatane, two each; and at 3 Parakai, Cambridge, Piako, Hamilton' \ and Taumarunui, one each. ' 1 Cases of pneumonia numbered five two , being in Auckland city, one in the' sub- } urbs, one at Hamilton, and one at Kihi- - kihi. The total number of cases notified in the | district between noon on Saturday and I noon yesterday were 146, nine of them - being severe. In addition to the 22 Mata- - mata cases notified yesterday, 29 mild i cases and one severe case were notified from that township on Tuesday.
