—' ♦■ THE McILWRAITH CUP. Tho first inter-club race of the season will be rowed to-morrow afternoon, when the annual contest for the Mcllwraith Cup will take place.. The race is controlled by the North Shore Rowing Club under the rules of the Auckland Amateur Rowing Association. If the weather is suitable the course -mill be from Stanley Point to Victoria Whaif. Failing that, the Cheltenham course will lie used. In addition to the cup, a set of gold medals, -presented by Mr. G. Barrett, will go to the winning crew. The following are the crews and positions from North Shore:— Auckland: L. Kirk, Stevenson, L. Murray, V. Murray. North Shore, No. 2: Fraser, White. Baxter, Fairgray. Whangarei. North Shore, No. 1: Bennett, Stevenson, Rutledge, Moll wraith. Waitemata: Hadfield, Campbell, Wolfgram, (White. West End: McRoberts, Ogilvy, Dawes, Hunter. St. George's: Bird, Emery, Aimer, Cozens. A launch will follow the race, but a good view of the race on either course may be gained from the shore. All crewa are requested to return to the North Shore Rowing Club's shed when the event is decided.
