LEVY ON WAR WEALTH.
SCHEME BEFORE GOVERNMENT LONDON. Nov. 21. The Board of Inland Re.venue has presented a report to the Treasury on the subject of a. special levy on wealth acquired during the war, and has also submitted to Mr. Austin Chamberlain, Chancellor of the Exchequer, the scheme of such levy. It is understood that the scheme will be presented "to the House of Commons' Select Committee, which the Government is about to appoint to inquire into the subject.
