OVER 1,000,000 UNEMPLOYED. CONDITIONS IN CHICAGO. (Received 10.30 p.m.) Renter. NEW YORK, Dec. 6. More than a million workers have been rendered idle at Chicago by the coal strike. Fifteen thousand trains have been eliminated during the month.
