—.— » BUSINESS DONE YESTERDAY. A good tone prevailed on the Auckland Sharemarkct yesterday. A sale of New Zealand Inscribed Stock, 1933, was reported at £85 2s 6d. In banks, Nationals, buyers quoted £6 lis 6d, bat no sellers were offering. New ZeiUands, fully paid, sellers eased to £19 Is, but buyers' made no advance on £18 16s, the previous day's figures. In insurances, South British sold at £8 15s 6d, and New Zealands at 32*, with another Bale reported at the samo figure. Nationals sellers quoted 795, but no business resulted. In financial lines and in coals, there was little variation on Wednesday's quotations. In gas, Auck•ands, buyers rose to 26s 6d, but sellers made a corresponding increase to 27.there was brisk business in shtDpine line? Devonport Ferries sold twice at 28s, and Huddart Parkers changed hands at 47s 6d. 48s, and 495. Sellers held for 60s, when the market closed. P. and 0., deferred stock, was held at £6.57, buyers offering £650 In wool » Kaiapoi sellers eased to £9 10s, but no sales resulted In miscellaneous lines, Auckland Tramways sellers held for 20s, and in preferential issue 18s bd. with buyers at 18s. There was a sale of Wilsons Cement at 15s 9d In mining, Waihis sold at 53s 3d, with another sale reported at th same figure and two at 53s 6d.
