i The Auckland District Women's Christian Temperance Union met at the headquarters, on Wednesday afternoon. Mrs. Cook presided. The devotional meeting was conducted by Mrs. Knight. Final arrangements were made for the garden . party to be held to-morrow afternoon at Sir. Moore's ground.-., Esplanade Road. Mount Eden. It was decided to have stalls for sweets. ice creams. cakes. flowers, and afternoon tea. It is hoped that Mrs. Wheeler, of America, will arrive in Auckland, to be. welcomed at the garden party. The annual meeting is to be held on December 10. • MR.
