EFFECTIVE WORK IN INDIA. MAHSUDS HESITATING. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. j (Reed. 8.15 p.m.) ALLAHABAD. Nov. 25. A few sections of the Mahsuds ! ' have asked for peace as a result of I ; daily air raids, but they have been i informed that until there is a general agreement among the tribesmen to submit to our terms, no overtures can be entertained. Meanwhile the j bombing of villages continues, and | will probably be further intensified i in the near future. The operations show that the air force has proved a i decisive factor in frontier campaigns, achieving victories which a ; punitive force could only gain after severe losses.
