POSTAL DISCONTENT.
CRITICISM OF GOVERNMENT. [BY TELEGRAPH. PRESS ASSOCIATION.^ WHANGAREI, Wednesday. A meeting of the Whangarei members of, the Post and Telegraph Officers' Association passed the following motion unanimously "We view with alarm the action of the present Government in not keeping faith with the promise made by the 'ate Postmaster-General regarding tho payment of the war bonus on September 30, 1919, and demand that this bonus, which is necessary owing to the increased cost of living, be paid immediately. AL-n, all members of this branch will endorse any further action deemed necessary by the association." OPINION AT MASTERTON. [BY TELEGRAPH. —PRESS ASSOCIATION - . MASTx.nTOX. Wednesday. The Masterton branch of the Post anil Telegraph Officers' Association ha.* parsed the following resolution;— " That this branch deplores the fact that the Govern, merit has failed to bring down legislation making it necessary for officers of -0 years' service, who are entitled to £250 per annum superannuation, to be retired, thus relieving the present stagnation existing throughout the service and securing more efficient administration by younger and more energetic officer?." A resolution was also parsed protesting against what was described as the G<->v. ernment's failure to honour the promts made by Sir Joseph Ward in regard to the bonus.
