CHANGEABLE WEATHER.
INTERMITTENT SHOWERS,
STRONG WESTERLY WINDS.
The weather at Auckland yesterday was changeable and boisterous at times, with the wind blowing strongly from the westward. Tight rain fell intermittently, but the showers were not frequent enough to make any difference to the dry cond.tiuns. The ra.il commenced at a late hour on Tuesday n.ght, but cleared off early yesterday morning. It resumed raining shortly alter 10 a.m., and continued at intervals until about 2 p.m., when the weather became tine. The barometer continues to show little movement, It was practically steady at 29.90;n lrom Monday morning until midday yesterday, when it fell to is.Bo.n, and remained at that reading up to a late hoar last night. ibe following weather lorecast was issued by Mr. Clement L. Wragge at» 7 o'clock last evening : —The disturbance named Xolad has extended rather farther north than was expected, and the centre of energy now lies between Cape Campbell and the Chatham Islands. Inasmuch as the whole Dominion is now under its moderate influence, unsettled weather is likely generally, with showers and fresh winds from between west-north-west and south.-south-west. Sea rather rough on the west coast and rising on the east coast later.
