DIOCESAN SCHOOL FETE.

I PUPIL'S ENTERTAINMENT. The Diocesan High School annual entertaiument, given yesterday afternoon in the form of a "Fete de L'entente Cotdiale,'' proved most successful, and was enjoyed by a. large gathering of parents and friends of the pupils. Miss Pulling, ; who welcomed the guests, in a brief speech spoke of the fete having been organised in honour of Britain's greatest allv. France, being also particularly appropriate as th« . entertainment given in the first peace vear. ; he fete consisted of a number of ; dances, songs, and recitations, in whk-i . all forms were represented. The first part of the programme was rendered in English, ; the second in French. The singing and recitations were all good, two particularly- ! fine items being patriotic recitations bv ; Misses L.
