OLD MAN FALLS IN RIVER.

An old man, Mr. Joseph Neale, 74 years of age, residing with his wife in Puriri Road, Riccarton, Christchurch, fell into the River Avon, whilst eeling, and died from the shock of the immersion. An inquest was held by the coroner, Mr. S. E. McCarthy, who returned a verdict that death was due to heart failure.
