SUDDEN DEATH AT EPSOM.
AFTER EFFECTS OF INFLUENZA.
The sudden death of Mr. Bartley McKenzie Warner, a linotype operator, at his place of residence in Green Lane, Epsom, on Friday morning, was investigated by the coroner, Mr. J. E. Wilson, S.M., at an inquest on Saturday. The deceased was a married man with two children, and was 35 years of age. The deceased's brother said that Mr. Warner had been in poor health since the influenza epidemic.
Dr. A. M. Grant, who made the postmortem examination, said he considered death to be due to heart, failure caused through an atrophic heart and myocarditis, due to postinfluenzal effects. A verdict was returned accordingly.
