A MAN AND HIS THIRST.
METHYLATED SPIRIT DRINKER. [BY TKLEGRAFH.FBESS ASSOCIATION.] CHEISTCHUECH, Saturday. Unusual procedure was ordered by Mr. McCarthy, S.M., at the Magistrate's Court to-day, when issuing a prohibition, order against a man. It was stated by the appellant that the defendant was in the habit of going to chemists' shops on Sunday and purchasing methylated spirits to satisfy his craving. The magistrate prohibited the defendant for twelve months, and ordered copies of the order to be sent to all local chemists.
