SUPPLIES OF SUGAR.
MEETING AUCKLAND NEEDS.
IMMEDIATE REQUIREMENTS.
Supplies of sugar for local consumption Are being delivered by the Colonial Sugar Refining Company, in quantities .sufficient to meet immediate needs, standing orders being executed first. The company is desirous of filling orders for other parts of the Dominion', consequently the fighter plant is engaged to some extent in conveying consignments to coastal steamers for shipment to the wrath. In view of th»», fresh orders for sugar have to Wait until orders on tbe file are completed. Yesterday about 100 tons of sugar was released for consumption in the city and suburbs. It is expected that further supplies will be delivered for local consumption on Monday or Tuesday.
