£25,016 FROM 15,532 TONS.

The Waihi Gold Mining Company, during the period ended September 6, crushed and treated 15,532 tons of ore for a return of bullion valued at £25,016. Compared with the return for tile corresponding period of last year, when 14,697 tons yielded bullion worth £30,042. this show 3 a decrease of £5026. The total won from the mine to date is £12.482,882.

Number 11 level.—The east drive on the north branch of the Empire lode in the Lion crosscut has been extended 52ft, showing an average value of 8s a ton. The east drive on the north branch of the Empire lode in the Bath crosscut has been extended 19ft, shxiwing an average value of lis. This drive has been holed through to the west drive front the Lion crosscut."
