POSSIBLE LEGISLATION.
HINT FROM PRIME MINISTER

WELLINGTON. Thursday
An intention to give legislative effect to the wishes of the people of the King Country regarding tenures was indicated in the House of Representatives by the Prime Minister this afternoon.
Mr. Massey, in the course of a statement detailing the amount ot work that remained to be done, said thai a very important matter claiming attention was this demand from the King Country, and he hbped that he would have an opportunity of dealing with it this session.
